AHIF's Fall 2020 University Partnerships
COVID-19 sadly forced the cancellation of all six of our Bright Ideas TBI Camps scheduled for 2020...but our wonderful university partners have thought outside the box with us, and as a result we have developed the following exciting on-line programs for Fall 2021!
Caregiver Support Group Program
AHIF is pleased to partner with University of Alabama School of Social Work doctoral students Kirsten Lala-Walsh and Zee Suntai to provide a 15-week Caregiver Support Group Program to 10 caregivers

AHIF has partnered UAB's "I Can Do It Program" where 35 of our clients will take part in a 10-week session working with students from OT, PT, Kinesiology and Nutrition to promote healthier, safer living for our clients.

UAB Occupational Therapy Program
AHIF has partnered with the UAB OT Program and OT students will facilitate 12 of our Zoom Support Groups this Fall

Auburn University Speech Pathology Department
AHIF has partnered with the Auburn University Speech Pathology Program to provide on-line Speech Therapy to AHIF clients in the Fall Semester

Auburn University School of Social Work
AHIF has partnered with the Auburn University School of Social Work and MSW students will be facilitating 8 Zoom Support Groups this Fall

AHIF has partnered with the Recreational Therapy Program at The University of South Alabama to facilitate several Zoom Support Groups this Fall, and also to conduct 1:1 "check-in" visits with 13 isolated AHIF clients throughout the Fall Semester.
AHIF has partnered with the Speech Therapy Program at Faulkner University to facilitate a series of special "game nights" through Zoom with our clients in the Fall Semester
