After that horror that was the apple juice concentrate yesterday, I needed something a little simpler today. So, I headed back to McDonald's for a $1.00 vanilla cone. Good old fashioned soft serve. I have to say...I was pretty impressed with the size of the cone for only a $1.00...was expecting it to be smaller. With temps in the low 90's, I knew I had to get to work fast to avoid having a soft serve disaster on my hands. Thankfully, the "soft" serve lived up to its name. I was able to bite into it, and let it sit against the roof of my mouth waiting for the sensation I have now come to know all too well! Strangely enough, what made the cone so soft also made the brain freeze delayed, as it was not ice cold like the apple juice from the day before, so it took a full four bites before the brain freeze came on. All in all, despite the brain freeze, a major upgrade from yesterday!
