You can read an organization's mission statement, their vision statement, their services, etc. You can find just about anything about an organization through a couple of internet searches, but do you truly KNOW the organization?
All nonprofit organizations commonly share one overarching goal...and that is for people to be aware of their services. If you know of a nonprofit that does NOT want people to know who they are and what they do, then I can assure you that you do not want to associated with it, volunteer for it, or contribute to it.
That is why AHIF has started this blog...as one more opportunity to share with our consumers, our Board, our Junior Board, our volunteers, our donors and anyone else who is interested in just who we are.
As a relatively small nonprofit, I can assure you we will not update this blog daily, or even weekly, but we will seek to provide meaningful content that opens a window for you to see who we are and how we operate. It will not be full of anecdotal stories of our consumers, marketing pieces, or current updates in the field of brain injuries. We feel that information can be found elsewhere.
Instead, it will attempt to let you truly get to know what we are about, how we strategically plan to accomplish our mission and even what we struggle with on a day to day basis. We also welcome your feedback and responses to help us refine the information that we provide.
Thank you for taking time to get to know us...
